It is a series of images that reimagine the Mars landscape using Gaussian splatting technology applied to NASA’s Mars photographs. By extending traditional landscape painting concepts through innovative imaging technologies, the artworks provide an immersive exploration of Mars, revealing its textures and contours in unprecedented detail.
These re-envisioned landscapes invite viewers to experience Mars as distant observers and as virtual travelers exploring the tactile terrain. The manipulation of position, shape, color, and transparency abstracts and enhances geography, creating a photorealistic representation of the scene.
